She was born in Santa Monica, California on 26 November, 1986. The singer is the child of father Vincenzo Barba and her mother Valerie Barba. She was just six when she left her family and moved to Point Pleasant New Jersey. As for her education she finished her education at Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey. After graduating at Catholic University with a Bachelor's in Architecture, she continued her studies at the school. A violinist since age 4, Violingirl was her nickname. The name she was given by her name due to her performances. She was also a violin teacher for the children of the surrounding area. Later at the age of nineteen she auditioned for the 6th season of American Idol and sang the 1976 hit single Free. Her audition was canceled when she was ranked 16th on American Idol. There were many songs she performed including 2009's "The Songs of Christmas" as well as 2010's Out for Blood. She also appeared on a few shows, including Jimmy Kimmel Live! In July she pleaded guilty to having 400 grams or more of the drug and was planning to market it. The musician was arrested when trying to transport nearly two pounds of the drug to a Virginia storage facility in October 2018.
